    <description>&lt;P&gt;Help,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have finished my federal 1040, and now it is time to download my state:&amp;nbsp; Pennsylvania.&lt;BR /&gt;When I click on the START button I get a screen that says:&amp;nbsp; Lets download and install your states.&amp;nbsp; Here is how it works.....&lt;BR /&gt;Next, when I click OK, I get a screen that says:&amp;nbsp; Getting Your State in a box.&lt;BR /&gt;Then, after a minute, it does NOT download and I get a screen that says: Your Software is up to date.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My only option is to click OK.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If I click OK, I am back at the beginning of Download your state.&lt;BR /&gt;Help, I am completely stuck and unable to download my State of Pennsylvania tax software.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;H2&gt;&lt;A href="https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/electronic-filing/state-install-e-file-update-loop-state-installed-e/L0heOIxUQ_US_en_US?uid=m86sv9n5" target="_blank"&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;"&gt;Resolution&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/H2&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;"&gt;To resolve, close TurboTax and then:&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;OL&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;"&gt;Download the &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;A href="https://digitalasset.intuit.com/render/content/dam/intuit/cgcs/en_us/turbotax/pdfs/TTCleanStatesTool-2024.00.01.16.zip" target="_blank"&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;TTCleanStatesTool.zip file&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/A&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;and save it to your desktop or other easy-to-find location.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;"&gt;Double-click to open the zip folder.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;"&gt;Extract the contents of the folder to your desktop and open the extracted folder.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;"&gt;Right-click the downloaded file (&lt;I&gt;TTCleanStates.exe&lt;/I&gt;) and select&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;Run as Administrator&lt;/STRONG&gt;.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;"&gt;Select your version (Personal or Business).&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;"&gt;Select your state from the dropdown menu and choose&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;Remove&amp;nbsp;&lt;/STRONG&gt;(if you're having problems with multiple states, choose &lt;STRONG&gt;Remove all States&lt;/STRONG&gt;).&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;"&gt;Once the tool finishes removing the state return(s), close it and reopen TurboTax.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;"&gt;Follow the prompts to update TurboTax at the prompt. It should start downloading your state.&lt;/SPAN&gt;
  &lt;UL&gt;
   &lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;"&gt;If it doesn't, select the&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;State Taxes&lt;/STRONG&gt;&amp;nbsp;tab and download it from there.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
  &lt;/UL&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;/OL&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;"&gt;If this fix fails:&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;OL&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;"&gt;Uninstall TurboTax.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;"&gt;Double-click the CD (valid for tax years 2023 and prior) or &lt;STRONG&gt;download &lt;/STRONG&gt;file to start the reinstallation process.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;"&gt;Select &lt;STRONG&gt;Next&amp;nbsp;&lt;/STRONG&gt;on the welcome screen.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;"&gt;Select &lt;STRONG&gt;I&amp;nbsp;Agree&lt;/STRONG&gt;&amp;nbsp;on the &lt;I&gt;License Agreement&lt;/I&gt;.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;"&gt;On the next screen, where you see the install location, select&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;Browse&amp;nbsp;&lt;/STRONG&gt;and change it to the location where TurboTax was&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;originally&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;I&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/I&gt;installed (normally, it's something like &lt;I&gt;C:Program Files (x86)TurboTaxDeluxe 20XX&lt;/I&gt;).&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;"&gt;Select &lt;STRONG&gt;Install&amp;nbsp;&lt;/STRONG&gt;after changing the location.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;"&gt;Open TurboTax after installation and proceed to your state taxes.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;/OL&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;"&gt;If the preceding steps don't resolve this issue, restart your computer in &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;A href="https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/product-delivery/troubleshoot-installation-running-turbotax-windows/L79TYvMhM_US_en_US?uid=m0yf7kaq" target="_blank"&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Selective Startup&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/A&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;"&gt; and run the tool again.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I am having this same issue with the New York Partnership software. I have followed the instructions and D/downloaded the&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;TTCleanStatesTool.zip software and ran it, and it still does not work.&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Help&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;How am I supposed to finish my New York state taxes if the software is not working?&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
