box 18 locality is blank. what should i enter?

The locality is listed in Box 20.

You should be able to leave it blank as long as Box 18 and Box 19 are also blank.

So box 18, 19, and 20 can all be blank.

Are there numbers in any of those boxes on your W-2?

Just to be clear , this is a w2g from gambling winnings. Box 18 , name of locality , is blank.There is no box 19 or 20

If boxes 16 and 17 on the W-2G are blank (empty) then leave box 18 blank (empty).

So there are no local winnings in box 16 and no local income taxes withheld in box 17, there would be no reason to have a Name of locality in box 18.
