topic Issues with E-Filing/Mailing in Get your taxes done using TurboTax

I was able to use TurboTax to attempt to E-File my tax return this year but ran into an issue with my spouse's SSN/ITIN. She is a non-resident alien living in the Philippines and I am doubtful we have enough time to get her an ITIN at an ITIN Acceptance Agent in time for April 15. Unfortunately, TurboTax's webapp only accepts numeric inputs on that section when prompted and as suggested in another community post, the only workaround is to skip those sections on the web app and manually write "NRA" on that section on the downloaded PDF/printed file.

I have done just that but now my issue now is that I don't have access to checks at the moment (I'm currently in the Philippines) and even if I did, I would prefer to pay my federal and state taxes via direct deposit/credit card. Is there any way I can maybe e-file by uploading the amended Form 1040 or would it be possible to mail in the amended 1040 and California Tax Return (Form 540) and then pay via IRS's website?

Any advice would be helpful. Thank you!

Yes, you can mail your return and make your payment electronically. If the payment is made before the return is processed, then everything will match up when the return is processed.

See the following TurboTax help article to learn more about your options to pay:

To clarify, I'd pay electronically before or after mailing in my forms to the IRS? Thank you!

You can do either. You can pay them now or anytime prior to April 15th if you are paying electronically or even mailing in a paper check.
