You will receive a Form 1099-B reporting your investment sales. You enter investment sales in the Wages and Income section of TurboTax, then Investments Sales, then Stocks, cryptocurrency, Mutual Funds, Bonds, etc... You will see an option to upload your Form 1099-B or you can enter it in yourself. If you choose to enter it in yourself, you'll come to a screen where you can enter in your sales proceeds and cost basis:

Also, if your investment sales mention that the sales are "covered" meaning the cost basis has been reported to the IRS, you can just enter the summary of like- kind investment sales (short term or long term subtotals) rather than entering in each transaction.

also, 1099-DIV, 1099-INT, 1099-OID, Section 1256 contracts, etc. Not needed if all the lines/boxes are zeroes in that area. we can see your tax form.

review the actual 1099 form (usually a brokerage issues a consolidated 1099 rather than separate ones for the type of item being reported) and if you see something that you should be in your tax return but isn't, post back with specifics
