Turbo tax isn't prompting me to enter my agi before E-filing

I keep seeing from everyone that once you get to the "file" tab on turbo tax, it will at some point prompt you to enter the agi from your previous tax return. I've gone back through the steps multiple times and it doesn't do that. I need the prompt to show up so I can manually enter my 2023 agi, because last year I e-filed with turbo tax, then later had to amend it with a company that is NOT Turbo tax.

I don't know if this is a glitch or something, but I have not seen a single person acknowledge the possibility of never being prompted to do this at all before officially clicking "transmit", so I have no idea what to do. If this is happening because Turbo tax already has my agi in the system, I need the option to change it because its definitely not the correct one.

How far have you gone? You can’t efile without entering the AGI. Do you get to the last step where it shows the orange Transmit Returns Now button? And you use the AGI from the original return not the amended one.

Yes I've gotten all the way to the transmit returns now button with the lock icon, warning message about how it can't be cancelled and everything. And apparently you can because I swear I've redone the filing steps about 5 times and at no point does it ask/ make me enter my agi. If I use the original, non-amended agi, then won't that cause problems? They ask for it (or are supposed to) for a reason, I'm sure it has to be the actual correct version.

No the IRS wants the AGI from the original return to verify you. This FAQ How to find last year's AGI

It Says

If you amended last year, don’t use the AGI from that amended return. Always get it from the first return you filed, even if that AGI was technically incorrect (for example, if you forgot a W-2).

To enter your last year's AGI:

Open your return
Select the File tab
Continue until you reach the screen that says To continue, select options below
Enter your corrected AGI in Enter last year's AGI here
Select Continue and follow the screens until you've re-transmitted your return

No, the system isn't asking for my AGI at all. Then, when I go to "transmit return", it says rejected and asks me to enter the AGI. I went straight through the process and was never asked for AGI.

If you used TurboTax Online, just sign back in, then follow the step-by-step instructions on how to change your AGI.

If you used the TurboTax CD/Download, open your return in TurboTax and go to the File tab. Select the Continue button until you reach a screen titled "Review Your Federal Filing Choices". From there, select the Edit button for "You have provided your identifying information for e-filing". Once you've changed your AGI, continue on to re-file your return and you'll be all set.

This isn't working. I am using the online version and have went in there what feels like a hundred times and went throught every part of the process and nowhere does it ask for my PY AGI... This is beyond anoying... What can I do to get this ammnendment filed?

If you used TurboTax Online last year, the program may be filling in either your AGI or PIN from last year for you. This is asked for in the FILE section, just before filing, for Identity Verification.

You may want to clear your Cache and Cookies and step through the FILE section again.
