Pros:

TurboTax is simple to use, especially if you have a simple return. It is like sitting down at a desk with a person asking you questions, however, you read the questions instead of having them read to you.
If you would like, you can choose to have an Expert prepare your taxes for you. The preparers are all CPA's or Enrolled Agents.
There is an accuracy guarantee
If you get stuck and you are preparing the taxes yourself, you can ask a question here in the community for free or you can get live help for a fee.
There is a desktop version and an online version.

Cons

It's technology and you are using your phone or computer when you are doing it yourself. Like anything else you do on a computer, computers can freeze and don't always cooperate.

Forms mode to see all forms as you work and “what if” feature

Can e-file up to five federal returns and their associated state returns

If you have more than five federal returns the additional ones can be mailed

Tax file is stored on your own hard drive
