On the TurboTax page that reads, “Let’s Compare Your Sales Tax and Income Tax”, the information is incorrect and is therefore misleading.

The state and local income tax deduction value is correct. But the estimated state sales tax deduction value is not correct, because it excludes the local sales tax amount. And because the local sales tax is excluded, the TurboTax statement that says, “Based on your entries so far, we recommend the state and local income tax deduction for you” can be a bad recommendation -- and it was incorrect for me. I had to click on the button that says “Try Sales Tax Deduction Anyway” in order to get the correct sales tax deduction value. (But why would users click on this button if TurboTax already recommended against using the sales tax deduction!)

This should be fixed.
