You are not able to attach a PDF or other file to an e-filed tax return.

If you need to include a document that is not included in the TurboTax program, then you will need to print and mail the tax return.

from PA -40 D instructions

Brokerage or summary statements of
transactions will be required to be included as a PDF attachment with the return or faxed in to the department unless copies of the brokerage statements are already included with the federal e-filed return.

hopefully someone will clarify this or you can call the PA dept of revenue

I could not find the number or instructions for faxing. Also, whether filing the federal schedule D using form 8453 to submit details to the IRS is what is meant by "unless copies of the brokerage statements are already included with the federal e-filed return"
