If you had tax withholding from your retirement account distribution, it will be included on your 1099-R in Box 4. If you enter the information, TurboTax will credit it to your tax payments.

Where would one see the credit or enter the amount of RMD withholding. I see no place to enter the amount?

Did you import the 1099R? You need to go though the 1099R section and make sure it imported right and answer all the followup questions. The withholding is in box 4 for federal and box 14 for state. The federal withholding will show up on 1040 line 25b.

Federal Taxes
Wages & Income
Then scroll way down to Retirement Plans and Social Security
Then IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R)
