Why is form 1041 so difficult?

I am using turbo tax business version, and it does not recognize the sale of trust property that occurred in May 2024, why? An error indicates the sale should have been Sept. 2024 to April 2025. How do I resolve this?

Make sure you didn't inadvertently select those beginning and ending months as your tax year (i.e., a fiscal year).

Go back to the beginning section and select 2024 as your calendar year.

Thank you for your response. Even with the calendar year or fiscal year selected my problem still exist. I could not more forward by selecting continue. Fortunately, one of the tech helped via the phone. I am still a little perplexed that I have to use short year, in order to proceed forward.
