Mail refund

I had e-file and selected direct deposit for my return but my account number was incorrect, My refund was approved and is scheduled to deposit 2/26/2025.But I was told it will have to mail to me , how long will this take.

Your refund will try to deposit on the 26th. When the bank declines it, it will get sent back and the IRS will issue a paper check and mail it to the address on your return. I would suppose this takes a couple days to do.

How many days will it take the bank to sent the tax refund back to IRS.

If we are unable to deliver the refund electronically, the refund will be mailed to you in the form of a check. This can take several weeks.
