Adding third party designee

Hi. I have tried several times to put a yes and add third party. Cannot seem to do it, even when clicking override. I have done this for years , was always able to do it , and could always efile. Any thoughts as to how to get this done ? Thanks.

Make sure your software is updated. See if you still have the problem after you update. I was able to enter a third party designee without any problem.

What exactly is the problem? "Cannot seem to do it" doesn't tell us what's happening. What happens when you click the Yes box? What happens when you enter a name, phone number, or PIN? If you get an error message, what is the complete exact message?

Where are you trying to enter the third party designee? You have to enter it on the Federal Information Worksheet, in Part VI, not on Form 1040.

Hello all !! When I was on the worksheet , it would not take name or contact info for the designee. Even with clicking override a number of times. Then I stumbled on to clicking the tiny circle in this same area and it let me enter the info then. Anyhow, may be useful for others and thanks again.
