If you use TurboTax Desktop, you can e-file up to five federal tax returns. With TurboTax Online, you can file one federal tax return and up to five state tax returns.

If you purchased one of the TurboTax desktop editions to be installed on a personal computer that you own, there are 5 free federal e-filed included in the program. After the 5 e-files have been used then any further tax returns can only be printed and mailed.

If you are asking if the Download Desktop program still has 5 returns, it does. The download is exactly the same as the CD. It’s just the method you use to install it.
