&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;It's possible that the IRS will correct the return you filed and add your mother's W-2, in which case they will send a letter asking if you agree with the correction.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If not, and they process your father's return, you'll need to then file an amended return.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;So, I filed my parents' taxes together, Mom's was higher than Dad's. I didn't realize it's just one return when you file jointly! I sent Dad's in first – it was approved instantly – then Mom's, and *that* got rejected. Duh, I forgot Mom's W-2 on Dad's return. How do I fix this? How long should I wait? Should I amend to married filing separately or just add the W-2? Should I wait for the refund before amending? And will I see the amended return online?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
