    <description>&lt;P&gt;I purchased a self-employed and personal Turbo Tax software.&amp;nbsp; I tried to e-file my tax returns, unfortunately I got an error message saying ERROR 190 - which it directed me to download my state tax which I did.&amp;nbsp; After downloading, I tried to reopen my file; it was not opened and got the same message again.&amp;nbsp; Please help.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I have 2021, 2023, and 2024 installed. Do I need to backup *.tax files and use only 1 at a time?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;2. Could the *.TAX files be damaged?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;3. I may need to manually amend years 2021 and 2023. (Redline the PDF, and make a note, then submit to IRS.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Not many options.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I know from other posts that "manual updates" are not available for years prior to 2021. Does that include state returns? The federal update went through fine but I can't seem to use it without updating the state program as well.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
