Thanks DavidD66, for the quick reply. I wish that Turbotax would still offer the CD which I have used since 2011. Last year I ordered from Amazon & had to pay a local computer expert to install it. Last year a problem occurred doing Turbotax . When I called, the first two Turbotax women said it was my computer and hung up. Luckily the third Turbotax women listened, went through the federal & state programs and fixed the problems. I have been using Turbotax Premier since 2011 but that experience and the lack of a CD has made me hesitant to use it this year.

Form 1099-B

My wife transferred 2 stocks from the companies who were holding them in the company shareholder accounts into a broker account and issued 2 Form.1099B with all the boxes filled in with the related numbers. I assume I just fill all the same numbers in Form 1099's into Turbotax & it does the required tax calculations? Where do I find the Form 1099B's in Turbotax. I always print my tax returns and mail them because I still do not trust sending Federal and State returns on line because of how sophisticated the hackers are getting. Also I had problems wit parts of Turbotax last year.

To report your Forms 1099-B in TurboTax Online:

In the income section, Select Investments and Savings....

On the page "Did you have investment income in 2024?" Answer Yes

On the page "Let's Import your tax info" you can either start the process to import your forms, or if you prefer, click on "Enter a different way" to manually enter your Forms 1099-B

Whether you choose to import your forms or enter them yourself, the program will guide you through the process.

You should strongly consider e-filing your tax returns. It is safe and secure.
