I'm just starting my 2024 return on TurboTax desktop. The amount of the state tax refund from 2023 that I imported from the 2023 TurboTax file does not match the return that I filed last year. I opened last years file in TurboTax 2023 and it matches what I filed and received from the state. Where is this erroneous number coming from? Is it okay to just edit the imported number without screwing something else up? Thanks

I'm very disappointed that someone from TurboTax hasn't bothered to resolve my issue. Porting data from my old return is a fundamental reason that I use TurboTax each year. Can someone please help?

You can adjust the numbers within your 2024 TurboTax return to match what you actually received, which should match your Form 1099-G. It won't cause any issues on your return.
