Cannot run 2024 Premier and 2024 Home & Business on same Apple Mac Mini

Mom passed February 2024. Installed 2024 Premier and filed individual return. Installed Home and Business but opening newly installed application only opens Premier. Should be able to have both Premier and Home & Business on same computer. Tried trashing both applications then reinstalling but oddly same result. Reinstalled H&B but still opens Premier. How? Premier Application trashed and cleaned from trash. How does it remember Premier? How do I totally remove Premier?

No, you cannot use both Home and Business and Premier on the same computer. There is no need for that at all. Any version of desktop software can be used to prepare and e-file up to five federal returns and the state returns that go with them. You do not need --- and cannot install successfully--- two versions of the same year of desktop software on the same computer. Anything you could do on Home and Business can be done using Premier. You just get a little more help in the interview screens with Home and Business. Premier has all the same forms and schedules. If you really want Home and Business then you can just upgrade the Premier software you already have up to Home and Business. Trying to put in another download is just a waste of money and effort.

Here's how to activate a different version. There is a way to have 2 licenses. You don't need to install the second version just enter the License Code. Under Help - Switch Product - Activate new product.
