Moe than 5 fed efiles

I am not a tax professional I only do returns for family and my business. I have 5 family returns and one business which I use a TT for business. Does that count a 6 efiled returns?

No. The Business program is separate from the personal programs.

is there a product that allows more than 5?

Do I have to apply for Fed ID as return filer?

can I just buy a 2nd copy of TT deluxe?

No that won't work. The 5 efile limit is from the IRS. It's to prevent fraud and people filing fake returns. To do more you have to sign up as a ERO - Electronic Returns Originator and be an authorized E-file provider.

Maybe you can use the Online Free Edition to file for someone? Or the IRS Free File, it can do more kinds of returns than the Turbo Tax Free Edition.
