Help with 1099-NEC

This is my first time inputting information from a 1099-NEC.

Box 5 is empty, Box 6 only has CA and Box 7 has an amount.

Turbo Tax won't let me proceed because I don't have a state number for Box 6 and my employer states that he did not need to provide one to me.

How do I get past this as Turbo Tax keeps sending me back to this form and prompting me to fill out this section where I actually don't have it filled on the form.

On your form 1099-NEC, if box 4 is empty or shows 0, this means that you did not have state tax withheld.

In this case, you can safely leave boxes 4,5,6 and 7 blank when entering form 1099-NEC.
