Finished taxes and ready to efile. First question under "Let's get ready to file your return" asks: "Did you or someone on your behalf file a 2023 tax return with the IRS last year?"...then the two possible answers are: "Yes, I filed a Federal tax return last year" OR "No, I didn't file a return last year".....SO, since the question was specifically whether or not I had someone file for me or I did it myself...the possible answers don't actually address that yes or no type question. Last year, my cpa filed my return on my behalf. Do I choose NO, I didn't file a return because someone else did it for me, or do I choose Yes, I filed the return (even though I did not file it myself)? This is confusing. Please advise.

It is just navigating toward asking for your 2023 AGI. Do you have your AGI from line 11 of your 2023 tax return?

Yes I do and will proceed from there.....It would be nice if they changed the specific question to not make it appear that you were to determine whether you self filed or filed through a CPA if what they are after is just some information from last year's return. Anyway thanks for the response. I appreciate it.
