I get this message when trying to do it online: "TurboTaxLive Assist & Review services do not cover returns for non-residents. Please choose a different TurboTax product to start a new return"

Are you a citizen of Canada who is living/working in the U.S.? There is no "special" tax software package for that situation. Depending on how long you have been in the U.S., you might be able to use TurboTax or you might need to use TT's partner, sprintax, to file a 1040NR. TurboTax cannot prepare a 1040NR.
