1099-NEC Can't find a place to enter to TT Business Desktop

On TT Business Desktop, there is no place to enter a 1099-NEC. I type 1099-NEC in the search and try the jump link but it takes me nowhere.

How do you manually enter the 1099-NECs in TT Business desktop? Please advise

Business Tab

Business Income and Expenses

Open the business on the list

Scroll down to "Business Income" START

Scroll down to "1099-NEC Income" START

Under Federal Taxes > Income > Business Income > all there is "Sales and service receipts" and "Customer Returns" to update. Under "Sales and service receipts" it just says to include any 1099 income in the total receipts amount, there is no specific place for 1099s.

You are correct, there is no entry option for individual form 1099-NEC's in the Business TurboTax product. The IRS does not require they be entered as you do on your personal tax returns. You simply report your sales as a lump sum entry, not as individual Form 1099-NEC entries.

There is also this "Learn More" on the Business Income section:

Note: If payment for services you provided is listed in box 1 of Form 1099-NEC, you are being treated as a self-employed worker or independent contractor. Please verify that this is NOT included in the gross receipts total. It may not be necessary to report, if this information is already included in your gross receipts total.

So confusing. Of course, the box 1 1099 info is included in the "Sales and services" amount in TT as this box 1 amount is business income.

I think what they mean is that if your 1099 box 1 amounts ARE included in your total here for Business Income > Sales and service receipts amount, then you DO NOT need to record your 1099-NEC amounts anywhere else.

Is this correct?

Yes, exactly. The warning is "Don't enter the same income twice".
