Federal tax accepted but state still says pending

Yes my federal tax return finally got accepted after it got rejected the first time because I entered one digit wrong on my ssn by mistake, and i got that corrected and then my federal tax return says it is accepted but my state return which i owe still says its pending is that normal for them both not to be accepted at the same time or should i be worried?

It is very common and normal to have a lag between acceptance of your federal and your state returns.

When you e-file your federal return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first one will say that your return was submitted. The second email will tell you if your federal return was accepted or rejected. If you e-filed a state return, there will be a third email to tell you if the state accepted or rejected your state return.

Mine return was submitted and accepted through TT on 2-06-25 but it's now 2-25-25 and it's STILL PENDING FOR DD....

I HAVE NO DATE OR ANYTHING!! Last year I received my refund in 17 days. This year it's been 20 days and no movement with my return.... I live in Tennessee (Memphis) what's up with this situation? Anyone else going through the same time as I am??

If you have certain refundable credits in your return, the IRS is required by law to withhold your tax refund for a period of time. They have indicated this year that most taxpayers in this situation will receive their refunds by March 3, though some may see them sooner (and, in turn, some may take longer.)

While the average is 21 days, there are a number of other reasons that returns can take longer to process. Be sure to watch your mail for any correspondence from the IRS and, if received, answer it promptly. Occasionally, the IRS needs additional information to process your refund, and they will reach out by mail when this is the case.
