My mom is Florida claim my kids on her federal tax return. She did not do a state return. Can I claim those same kids on my New York State tax return?

What is going on with that? Who do the children live with? Do they live in FL with Grandma or do they live with you in NY?

If not claimed on federal with TurboTax cannot claim them on the state.

They lived there with her for about 8months last year for personal reason.They are with me now

They were not with you for six months---sorry, no you cannot claim them----state confusion aside.
