I want to change an answer in the step by step view and no matter how many times I select the "back" button it only takes me to the table that reflects the final amounts for that particular section. I cannot get back to that question. I've even tried starting with the "show me everything" view and no luck.

The question related to dependent care credits and asked if I had an FSA. I inadvertently answered “no” when I should have said “yes”. I also looked in the “forms” view thinking I’d find the question there but could not. And by the way, I indicated I have the “deluxe” version of TT but I have the “premier”version. Thank you

Let me make this suggestion...

No, you might not be able to get back to that question, but it's an important question because, as you noticed, the answer controls the flow of the interview.

So I am going to ask you to do the following:

1. If you had a box 10 on your W-2 (i.e., your dependent care FSA), make sure your have a copy of the W-2, and delete it out of TurboTax.

2. If you have any children, please delete them.

3. Go into Forms mode and delete the 2441 along with the Explanation Stmt with it (it one).

4. Save your return.

5. Now reopen your return, add your W-2 and your children, and return to the Child and Dependent Care interview, and make sure you answer YES to the FSA question.

Review your 2441 to see if it all makes sense...

Thank you. Despite answering that question "no", TT still populated Form 2441 correctly. I've reviewed the completed form carefully and it is correct. Perhaps since I had this form last year and my W2 was auto-uploaded it "knew" there was a box 10 amount and prepared the form correctly. Thanks again
