      <description>&lt;P&gt;Are you referring to owing $216 for TurboTax fees---- or do you mean that you have a federal refund and owe the state tax due? &amp;nbsp; Please explain clearly.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Did you choose to pay your TurboTax fees by having them deducted from your federal refund?&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;If you mean you are getting a federal refund and owe tax to the state:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The federal and state treasuries are completely separate from each other. &lt;SPAN class="Apple-converted-space"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Your state tax due cannot be paid from a federal refund.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;And….your federal tax due cannot be paid from a state refund. &lt;SPAN class="Apple-converted-space"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Neither refund can be used to pay the amount due to the other one.&lt;/P&gt;
