Downloading Turbotax 2024 select an app to download crdownload

When downloading Turbotax 2024 and I try to open the file, it ask "Select an app to download crdownload" my options are Adobe (which I tried), Word, Notepad and a few others. How do I download?

To install your TurboTax product download, follow the instructions in this help article.

If you are having trouble finding your download file, see below:

In your Downloads folder:

Sign into your Intuit account.
Under TurboTax Desktop 2024, select Licenses and downloads.
Look for your license code under the TurboTax product name.
Return to the install screen and enter the code to continue.

I have the same issue. The response from the Intuit employee is insufficient. I created an account, and I don't see an option for Licenses and Downloads. My options are: Overview, Sign in & Security, Profile, Data & Privacy, Preferences, Products & Billing, Payment Methods, Documents. The original question is from February. It is now April. Why am I getting the same error?

There is a difference between a License Code (for Desktop) and an Activation Code (for Online).

If using TurboTax Online, you can activate your code to your account on this link.

If using TurboTax Desktop, you can download/install your software from this link.

@DDFrankie1 If you are looking to download the Desktop program from your account it is listed under Products and Billing.
