Whyt is TurboTax taking so long to get the 8283 form working?

Please see here for the expected availability dates of both Federal and State forms.

Form 8283 is currently expected to become available on February 13, 2025.

The TurboTax forms availability tool provides the company's best estimate of the date the forms will be ready to use in the program. Programmers need to update TurboTax every time the IRS or a state agency updates a form.

Even though the IRS has it on their website it takes longer for them to approve the form for Turbo Tax and tax companies to use.

Form 8283 is scheduled to be released and available tomorrow, February 5th.
