If you mean your income is Social Security disability then you do not need to file a tax return, and would not be eligible for refundable child-related credits. Those credits are based on income from working. Sorry. Or are you receiving some other sort of disability that is reported on a W-2?

It depends. Depending on the type of disability payments you received determine if you need to report the income on your tax return. If you received a tax form, then you need to report it on your return under the Wages and Income Section.

If you file a tax return, you may be eligible for the Child Tax Credit, Additional Child Tax Credit, or Other Dependent Credit
