    <description>&lt;P&gt;I installed TurboTax Deluxe 2024 Saturday, but it will not open.&amp;nbsp; It stalled the first time, saying it was "taking more than a moment".&amp;nbsp; I closed out of it in task manager and when I tried to open again it said it could not start because it was already in use by another user.&amp;nbsp; I have since uninstalled it and rebooted.&amp;nbsp; Before I try to install again, is there something I need do to from an administrative permissions settings to make sure it will work this time?&amp;nbsp; I'm running Windows 11 home edition.&amp;nbsp; Hopefully something works, or I guess I'll have to bail on Turbo Tax after many years and try another software.&amp;nbsp; Thanks&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Yes, you need Administrator Rights to install TurboTax Desktop.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;UL&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;Right-click the TurboTax icon or setup icon and select &lt;STRONG&gt;Properties&lt;/STRONG&gt;. In the &lt;I&gt;Compatibility&lt;/I&gt; tab, select the &lt;STRONG&gt;Run this program as administrator&lt;/STRONG&gt; box and select &lt;STRONG&gt;OK&lt;/STRONG&gt;.&lt;/LI&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks! My issue turned out to be firewall related.&amp;nbsp; I uninstalled, I disabled my firewall, installed TT, then set my firewall to allow TT app, then turned firewall back on, and it appears to work fine.&amp;nbsp; No more 70001 errors&lt;/P&gt;</description>
