What does this mean “tax year 2024 transmissions are not available. turbotax is not ready to process tax year 2024 for this minnesota return”

It means that TurboTax cannot transmit your state return yet, as the required federal return has not yet been accepted by the IRS.

The IRS has not begun accepting returns for 2024. The date they will begin accepting individual tax returns is January 27th. State returns cannot be e-filed until your federal form has been accepted by the IRS.

I tried going in today to efile for both federal and state and it’s still saying the same thing

It might be that not all the forms in your return have been finalized yet. If you have Draft forms in your return, it would not allow you to finish your return.
