topic 'Expert' tag on user names in Get your taxes done using TurboTax

Does the 'Expert' tag get applied next to names on here who are verified tax professionals of some sort? Or is it just tied to the number of answers a user posts that are accepted as solutions?

I can't find any info about the tag itself, but I see other tags that seem tied to a user's past activity on the forums. With any answer, it's good to validate things, but if experts are actually verified by TurboTax, it adds a little more credibility to answers. How does someone get the 'Expert' tag associated with their username?

If you see the word "expert" by someone's name---they are an employee of TurboTax and are tax pros -- CPA's or EA's (enrolled agents). The "Champs" who reply to many of the questions in this forum may or may not have those same credentials, and are volunteers who have one of the geekiest hobbies ever, or who are providing random acts of kindness to other users.....

Yes experts are suppose to be experts. Doesn’t it say underneath Employee tax expert? The users volunteering here are labeled as Champ. We used to be called SuperUsers but I didn’t sign up to get the Champ label so I’m just level 15.
