    <description>The extracting files box just disappears after the bar gets to the end of the box.  Nothing happens and there is no feedback.  I have even run this in Safe Mode, but still nothing happens after supposedly extracting files.  I get a file called TTINSTALLER.log which mentions two other files called ISDebugLog.log and TTDErrorLog.log, but those files do not seem to have actually created on my system.  What is going on here?  This is driving me nuts.  I do not believe it is a Windows problem since I have no problem installing anything else on my PC.  I see other people reporting the same (or similar) problems installing TT, but no fix I have seen works.  Please help!</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I am going to suggest these steps below. I think you might be having an issue other users have experienced with installing when using Windows 10.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;OL&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color:#2E2E2E;font-size:9.5pt;"&gt;Type "environment" in the windows search bar.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color:#2E2E2E;font-size:9.5pt;"&gt;This will bring up "Edit the System Environment Variables" as a match.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color:#2E2E2E;font-size:9.5pt;"&gt;Clicking on it takes you to the "Advanced" tab of a dialog box titled "System Properties."&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color:#2E2E2E;font-size:9.5pt;"&gt;Near the bottom of the dialog box, click on the pushbutton labeled "Environment Variables...".&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color:#2E2E2E;font-size:9.5pt;"&gt;This brings up a separate dialog box that shows the current values for user environment variables at the top and system variables at the bottom. In the list of user environment variables, you should see both TEMP and TMP, and their current values.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color:#2E2E2E;font-size:9.5pt;"&gt;Click on each, then click on the "Edit..." pushbutton.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color:#2E2E2E;font-size:9.5pt;"&gt;This brings up another dialog box in which you can change the "Variable value" to "C:\Temp" (be sure to change the variable value, not the variable name).&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color:#2E2E2E;font-size:9.5pt;"&gt;This folder must, of course, exist for this step to work properly.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color:#2E2E2E;font-size:9.5pt;"&gt;OK out of all the dialog boxes and retry the install.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color:#2E2E2E;font-size:9.5pt;"&gt;Environment variable changes take effect immediately, so if this is the only change you make, it's not necessary to reboot.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;How much RAM do you have? &amp;nbsp;There may not be enough to run the installer. &amp;nbsp;Close any other running processes (you can use Task Manager) and re-try.&lt;/P&gt;

 &lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color:#2E2E2E;font-size:9.5pt;"&gt;This will bring up "Edit the System Environment Variables" as a match.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color:#2E2E2E;font-size:9.5pt;"&gt;Clicking on it takes you to the "Advanced" tab of a dialog box titled "System Properties."&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color:#2E2E2E;font-size:9.5pt;"&gt;Near the bottom of the dialog box, click on the pushbutton labeled "Environment Variables...".&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color:#2E2E2E;font-size:9.5pt;"&gt;This brings up a separate dialog box that shows the current values for user environment variables at the top and system variables at the bottom. In the list of user environment variables, you should see both TEMP and TMP, and their current values.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color:#2E2E2E;font-size:9.5pt;"&gt;Click on each, then click on the "Edit..." pushbutton.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color:#2E2E2E;font-size:9.5pt;"&gt;This brings up another dialog box in which you can change the "Variable value" to "C:\Temp" (be sure to change the variable value, not the variable name).&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color:#2E2E2E;font-size:9.5pt;"&gt;This folder must, of course, exist for this step to work properly.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color:#2E2E2E;font-size:9.5pt;"&gt;OK out of all the dialog boxes and retry the install.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color:#2E2E2E;font-size:9.5pt;"&gt;Environment variable changes take effect immediately, so if this is the only change you make, it's not necessary to reboot.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;This worked for Win 11 installing TurboTax 2025!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I plan on changing the temp values back (and also created the 'temp' directory in C:.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Sure would be great if Intuit would fix this.&amp;nbsp; I am seeing people online saying that they spent hours with Intuit support and still not finding an answer...&lt;/P&gt;</description>
