Is the refund banner really gone for 2024 taxes? I have been able to get it back every year so far.

It is there but you first must go through the sections of the federal tax return and enter your tax data.

I was able to get the refund/tax due meter to return by simply going to the left menu column and clicking on the REVIEW tab--the tab just below "State Taxes." I'm early into return preparation and didn't really have to review anything. From then on the amount to be refunded/tax due has been displayed in the top left corner as I returned to and continued with the interview to enter other income items and deductions. Please report back if that works for you, too.
