    <description>&lt;P&gt;If you and your spouse live together, you cannot file as Head of Household. &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;You have to file as married filing jointly or married filing separately. &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Those are your two choices.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;And...yes, the refund can be seized for tax your spouse owes. &amp;nbsp; If you file a joint return, you can include an injured spouse form to protect your part of the refund.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have filed head of house hold due to my husband not paying taxes due to being a disabled veteran. He does however owe a federal debt. I wasn’t thinking and used our joint back account. Can the IRS garnish my tax refund just because he is on the joint bank account? If so, is there anything I can do to have my direct deposit changed?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
