      <description>&lt;P&gt;Is your earned income from W2 wages or 1099NEC self employment?&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;If you have self-employment income you can only contribute up to your net profit reduced by the deduction allowed for the ER portion of your self-employment taxes.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Yes, call your broker to make the contribution. Typically you may receive a form proving you made the contribution but not always. The IRS will take your word that you made this contribution before the due date of your return.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
