Your w2 screen should show only your resident state in order to correct the forms. The federal and state know what they received. My company paid for me to move here with a promotion. My company never updated my tax information after my move. They reported my taxes to IN and not NC. I filed my 2023 taxes and IN refuses to release my refund in order to pay NC until I amend my taxes. I have gone through and amended my taxes, and the papers are still wrong. I have updated my address, selected non-resident for IN and full year resident for NC. When I view my state taxes for IN it still shows a county code for a resident and 00 for work.
