Form 1099-NEC not ready for filing - what's the delay??

Today is Jan 11. The 1099-NEC is due to the IRS and the recipient by Jan 31. What is the hold-up?

I'm having the same issue and can't get a straight answer from the help desk on ETA. First told me the 9th and by the 10th they weren't available. I called on the 10th and the 1st level support couldn't get the next level support people to answer the question after 20 min on the phone.

Hi I am having the same problem

and each time I call Turbo Tax I get the same

answer not sure when they will be ready

This is totally unacceptable!

Today is the 13th. Still no response. May have to switch to h&r block next year.

It is already January 14, 2025. 2024 1099 – NEC forms must be sent out by the end of the month. Why are they not available yet for the desktop version? They should have been ready many months ago!

Turbo Tax is not responding

so stressful that we can' t print our 1099 NEC
