A 1099-NEC is used to report non-employee compensation. Whether you are receiving or issuing the form, the deadline is January 31.

Are you trying to create a 1099NEC to give to someone? It should be ready soon. If you are using the Desktop Home & Business program keep updating the program. I think it said Jan 11.
