The 2024 turbotax retail purchase jacket shows Premier required for "Import your investment information from participating financial institutions" however, the website https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/compare/desktop/ indicates Deluxe version can "Save time by importing financial data including W‑2s". Which is correct? Last year Deluxe could import broker data but the retail purchase jacket didn't have this new note listed above on the 2024 jacket.

The 2024 Deluxe desktop edition supports import of tax forms from TurboTax partners, just like the Premier desktop edition.

All the Desktop versions have all the same forms and features. You just get more help in the higher versions. (Basic might not have a couple things and doesn't have a state program.)
