Since TurboTax doesn't have an email address, Can anyone recommend a good tax program that allows communication via email? I'm ready to switch. DC

You cannot email TurboTax, but you can post questions here in the user forum, contact customer support during business hours, or message TT.

Thanks, ..... but I'm looking for an alternate tax software package that allows communication with technical help. Maybe I didn't ask the question with enough clarity.

If you purchase TurboTax Live you will then have contact with the tax expert assigned to you and will be able to communicate with them by phone, email, chat or video call.

Try a google search for tax software that includes email support.

Thanks again, and I've done my Google search. I was hoping for a recommendation from somebody. I've used TurboTax for years and have an account with them. I am unable to use a phone and need to ask them where my 2024 tax year disk is. But I have no way of asking (other than email) and no way of finding out when/if they are going to send my disk. That's why I need a software package with good customer support. I'm wondering if Intuit is using the gov't as an example and going with the lowest bidder. I guess you really do get what you pay for. Sad, because TurboTax used to be good.

TurboTax desktop software is a download this year. You do not automatically get a plastic CD. They are not mailing out CD's even if you are an Advantage member.

How do I download my software from TurboTax.com?

For TurboTax CD/Download purchases, once you’ve received an order confirmation for your purchase, follow these instructions to download your TurboTax software:

Go to Access my downloads and sign in with the same user ID you used to purchase your software
On Your TurboTax account, select the Downloads tab
Select the version you want to download and save it somewhere on your computer where you can find it

If you need help finding your download, we have instructions for Windows and Mac

Install your software by double-clicking the downloaded file

If you need help installing, we have instructions for Windows and Mac

If you really want the CD, you can pay an extra $10 for the CD after you purchase the download and have your license key. Even if you use the CD for the initial install, you will always have to download the updates and the state software.
