Hi. Im trying to start my 2023 return now using TurboTax online. It's November 20. Is there a way to still access the online version? I use this to prepare most of my return and have to add additional forms manually. So, will also need to file manually. I don't need to e-file.

I'm trying to access TurboTax Online Premium DIY. Which is the same version I have used since 2021.

Thanks,

Steve.

Oh did you already start Online? You have to switch to the Desktop program to finish. You need to download the .tax2023 file from Online. And install the Desktop program to open it.

How to finish a return you started online,

https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/prior-year-return/help/how-do-i-finish-a-prior-year-return-that-i-...

The TurboTax 2023 online editions have closed to make way for the 2024 online editions.

If you need to complete the 2023 tax return you will need to purchase and download one of the TurboTax 2023 desktop editions to install on a personal computer, Windows or Mac. The TurboTax desktop edition cannot be installed on a mobile device.

Download the the 2023 tax data file from your online account and after the 2023 desktop edition has been installed, click on File at the top left of the desktop screen and then click on Open Tax Return, browse to the location where you downloaded the 2023 tax data file.

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents. Click on the Year and Click on Download .tax file

Go to this TurboTax website to purchase and download one of the 2023 desktop editions - https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/past-years-products/

Any of the desktop editions can be used for your 2023 return, but if you are an investor, landlord with rental property or have self-employed income and expenses the Home & Business edition is recommended but Not required.

TurboTax Online for the 2023 tax year typically becomes available in early December, so you may not be able to start it just yet. Since you’re preparing your return manually and don’t need to e-file, you might consider using TurboTax Desktop instead, which allows you to work on prior-year returns anytime. If you need specific forms, you can check the IRS website for downloadable versions.

Hope this helps! calculadora de porcentagem

Hi Steve, after October 15, TurboTax Online typically shuts down for the previous tax year as they prepare for the next filing season. You may need to wait until TurboTax reopens for 2023 returns (usually in December). calculadora de porcentagem In the meantime, you can use TurboTax Desktop to prepare your return manually. Hope this helps!
