    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi There,&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My son is in graduate school and is a full time student, &amp;nbsp;and has accepted FAFSA loans for cost of attendance and living allowance. &amp;nbsp;He&amp;nbsp;is still covered under our medical insurance and we provide supplemental monies to support him, including car and meals, etc. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Does he still qualify as a dependent. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;I would need more information to be sure in your situation, but the biggest questions I see in your case is whether your son is under age 24 and whether you provide more than 50% of his support. In general, student loans are considered child-provided support. So if his loans pay for all of his living expenses other than the ones you mention, it's possible he is actually providing more than 50% for himself.&lt;/P&gt;
