&lt;P&gt;Yes, you can allocate your expenses for the duplex based on square footage. If they are the same size, you would just deduct 50% of mortgage interest, property tax, etc. for the airbnb.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;You can rent them both out, one as short term and one as long term. They would be treated separately on your tax return and depreciation would depend on how many days the short term rental is rented.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
