Hello. I need to file my 2022 taxes before I can file 2023. How can I file my 2022 taxes when Turbo Tax immediately starts asking me questions about my 2023 tax return? How can i get Turbo Tax to take me to 2022 tax filing?

The TurboTax online editions are only for tax year 2023

To complete and file a 2022 tax return using TurboTax you would need to purchase, download and install on a personal computer one of the 2022 desktop editions from this website - https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/past-years-products/

A 2022 tax return can only be printed and mailed, it cannot be e-filed using TurboTax.

In order to file 2022, you have to download 2022 program. Go to the main TurboTax screen (www.turbotax.com) and scroll all the way down until you see the columns of small print items (About, Online Software Products, Desktop Products, Tax Tips etc.). Look under Desktop Products. The last item in that column is Prior Year Software. Click there and it will take you to where you can purchase and download 2022 and complete your return. Once that is done, you can then do your 2023 return.
