Only e filed 4 returns but TT says limit of 5 has been reached.

I have only e filed 4 tax returns. But when I just tried to e file my own return Turbo Tax messaged that I had reached the maximum number of 5 returns. How can that be?

Always do your own filing first. Only then should you do others.

Sometimes, if one of the earlier e-files was rejected....depending on the reason for the rejection, that ends up counting as one of the e-files.

IF not that...or in any case...Customer Support may be your only avenue as indicated by @Anonymous_

(But printing and filing by mail may be your only course of action at this late date.)

Same thing just happened to me today in 2025 filing season. I hope it corrects itself.

If you Contact TurboTax Support they can help you with your Efile limit issue.

I just contacted them, spoke with "T", he was very professional and helfpful. For my license number it now says I have one more efile. I think the system fixed itself between my 4th file a few days ago and today's call. Yesterday the predicted wait time was 20-25 minutes and I didn't choose to wait, today it was 5-10 so I held on. I'm now more comfortable believing that when I go to efile my last return that it will work. Thanks
