I called Intuit and confirmed that I have 3 downloads still available. I followed their instructions to the link for downloading the program, but it asked for the license number, it would not allow me to choose the PC/Windows icon, and I got a message that stated: "not supported by PC/Windows." What? I have used TT for over 35 years, using PC/Windows. What has changed? My computer is only two days old and is a desk top Dell computer with Windows 11, with Microsoft Edge and 16 gigs of memory and I am the administrator.

If you used the Online version you can log into your account from any computer. But if you used the Desktop installed program your return is only on that computer and any backups you made. Sorry it would be gone. You need the .tax2023 file and the program installed on another computer to open it.

I also have the same issue. My computer crashed but I have the files saved on my external hard drive, but not the online TT tax program. I am in my Intuit account but can't see how to download it to my new computer. I was somehow able to download it yesterday, but my new computer locked up. I forgot how I did the download.

log into your account

click on the intuit account link - left side

the next page will have links to products and billing

click on one of them and you should see your available programs

click on the list or the >

you should now see Turbotax desktop 2023

click on licenses and downloads

you should now see blue links to download federal and states

after downloading install the federal before any states
