Duplicate service fee charge

My CC was charged twice for VPS Service Fee Intuit @ $236.62 each!

I have tried calling the phone # that was associated with Intuit shown on my CC statement'and was placed on hold for over 2.5 hours.

How do I get someone to answer me about the high charge amount and how do I go about getting my CC credited?

No one in the user forum can resolve a billing issue. If you have a question about your TurboTax fees or billing, make sure you use the word “billing” in your request for help. Do not use the word “refund.”

The first thing you need to do is dispute the charge with your credit card company.

and once you dispute it with the credit card company, basically 'forget it' for 60 days. it is highly likely it will be reversed to your benefit.

@debbil Am I correct in assuming that the first $236.62 charge was or includes the service fee for paying your tax due by credit card? I'm not sure what the current service fee is, but it may have been 2.49% thru TurboTax (I think the service fee for CC tax payment is a little less at the IRS website). Does that fit in with your situation? If that figure was just the service fee, did you have about $9500 in tax paid by CC? Or was the 236.62 charge the total of both your tax paid and the 2.49% service fee?

In any case, I don't know why that processing firm would end up charging it twice. Were both charges dated the same day, or did they come back at a later date and charge it again?
