The IRS grants you an automatic 2-months extension to file your tax return if you are living abroad,but requires you to attach a statement explaining your eligibility when filing.

Can TurboTax (web version) allow you to prepare and attach an automatic 2-months extension statement when e-filing?

No, TurboTax does not provided the option of including a statement with the e-filed tax return.

You would have to print and mail the tax return to include your statement for explaining your situation which qualifies you for the 2 month extension.

The CD/Download TurboTax software does allow you to create the statement for the automatic 2-month extension and include it in an e-filed tax return. TurboTax Online (the "web version") does not allow it.
